Exchange connection problems
”Exchange connection failed” error
This error means Mirrorpip cannot reach your exchange using the API key you provided.
Steps to fix:
- Go to Settings → Exchange in the Mirrorpip app and check the connection status.
- Log in to your exchange and verify that the API key still exists and is active — some exchanges auto-expire keys that haven’t been used recently.
- Confirm your API key has Read and Trade permissions enabled.
- Delete the current API key from your exchange, create a new one, and reconnect in Mirrorpip.
When creating a new API key, ensure withdrawal permissions are NOT enabled.
API key permissions error
If you see a permissions-related error, your API key may be missing the Trade permission required for Mirrorpip to place orders.
- Log in to your exchange and navigate to API management.
- Edit or recreate the API key with both Read and Trade permissions.
- Re-enter the new key in Settings → Exchange.
Trades not mirroring
No trades copied after following a leader
Mirroring starts from the moment you follow a leader — Mirrorpip does not copy pre-existing open positions. If you followed a leader but haven’t seen any trades copied yet, it likely means the leader hasn’t opened any new trades since you started following.
Check:
- Confirm your exchange is connected (see Settings → Exchange).
- Confirm you tapped Start Mirroring and completed the setup flow.
- Review the leader’s recent activity on their profile to see when they last traded.
Mirrored trade size is very small or zero
This usually means your allocated balance for that leader is too low to meet the exchange’s minimum order size.
Fix:
- Increase your allocation for that leader in Settings → [Leader Name] → Mirroring Settings.
- Check your exchange’s minimum trade size for the asset being traded.
App issues
App crashes or won’t load
- Force-close the Mirrorpip app and reopen it.
- Check that your device has a stable internet connection.
- Update Mirrorpip to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app. Your account and settings are saved to the cloud and will be restored when you log back in.
I forgot my password
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password? and enter your registered email address. Mirrorpip will send a password reset link. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it within a few minutes.
I’m not receiving notifications
- Check that notifications are enabled for Mirrorpip in your device settings (see Notification settings).
- In the Mirrorpip app, go to Settings → Notifications and verify the relevant notification types are toggled on.
- Make sure your device is not in Do Not Disturb mode.
